Muchas veces los sentimientos negativos, al igual que las expectativas poco realistas nos abruman porque somos demasiado exigentes con nosotros mismos y también con los demas, si bien es cierto que no tenemos una varita mágica para alejarlos de nuestra vida e impedir que entren en nuestra mente, también es muy cierto que sí podemos esforzarnos por ir suplantando todos esos pensamientos negativos por pensamientos positivos, y es verdad que en ocasiones es más fácil decirlo que hacerlo. Sin embargo, si reconocemos con modestia nuestras limitaciones estaremos en condiciones de ser más realistas, esto implica que debemos ser razonables con nosotros mismos y así de esta manera aceptaremos con humildad que tenemos limitaciones, de esa forma no nos exigiremos más allá de lo que podemos dar. >Many times negative feelings, as well as unrealistic expectations overwhelm us because we are too demanding with ourselves and also with others, although it is true that we do not have a magic wand to keep them away from our life and prevent them from entering our mind, it is also very true that we can make an effort to replace all those negative thoughts with positive thoughts, and it is true that sometimes it is easier said than done.
