Assange Vigil — 6 Years in Ecuadorian Еmbassy in London

Tomorrow, on June 19th, it will be full 6 years since since Julian Assange is imprisoned inside Ecuadorian embassy in London, under the pressure of rogue and tyrannical regimes of US and UK. Several events will mark this day…



Today @JulianAssange has been:

  • 83 days gagged & isolated after US pressure on Ecuador
  • 2190 days in the Embassy
  • 2750 days detained without charge in the UK
  • 2825 days investigated by US grand jury

Aside from the vigil that starts tomorrow at 6 PM, in front of the Ecuadorian embassy in London, tomorrow in Geneva there will be UN meeting on the persecution of WikiLeaks’ publisher Julian Assange: “Julian Assange, WikiLeaks & the future of rights & freedoms in the West”. There are mounting pressure to the Australian government to help bringing Julian Assange home. John Pilger, well known investigative journalist and filmmaker, appealed to the government at Sunday's Sydney rally to free Assange.
