Japan made a surprising announcement as it said it will leave the International Whaling Commission to resume commercial hunts but says it will no longer go to the Antarctic to hunt, and will limit fishing to its territorial and economic waters.
Japan is arguing that populations have recovered and that fishing can be done sustainably. I don't get why we have to keep taking and taking from nature and don't spend enough time to learn how to give back.
