Upcoming Potential Legalization Changes in NJ: Licensed Medical Dispensaries Form Trade Group

At least 12 different cannabis dispensaries in NJ have recently formed a trade group, as legalization changes are pending with an upcoming vote in the region on cannabis reform.

Despite surveys and various polls signalling that there is a lot of support for those changes, a variety of jurisdictions have vowed to continue fighting cannabis regardless of legalization. At least 70 different ordinances are looking to ban cannabis altogether, because they haven't learned enough yet from the failures of the war on drugs. Also, they don't yet recognize and support the individual liberty of people in that region to choose a natural plant solution for medicine if they want to, or to engage in recreational behavior with that plant.

The new trade association, known as New Jersey Cannabis Trade Association, was formed just recently and they've signed a joint statement advocating for online ordering for their customers, and are also seeking home delivery freedom too.

Not many jurisdictions presently allow for cannabis at-home delivery services, as many aspects of cannabis business altogether are unjustly and unreasonably restricted.

These dispensaries are going to be focused on protecting and expanding the medical cannabis program. These programs that have sprung up around the United States have frequently been accused of corrupt licensing practices, in how they go about choosing who gets the opportunity to do business in the cannabis industry. As a result there are various lawsuits that have been launched to try and fight for the rights of people who haven't been able to get into business, who feel they've been unjustly pushed out from that opportunity. In NJ it is likely to be no different, as lawmakers have made a mess of legalization around the U.S. and elsewhere.
