It's Wednesday, time to join other Steemians in sharing images from a short walk we've taken during the week. #WednesdayWalk is the creation of the one and only @tattoodjay.
I took my walk around a car show that was held at Mission San Buenaventura, in Ventura, California. My images don't do the cars justice, but I hope you'll enjoy what I'm sharing.
If you know me, you know that I often focus on details rather than the whole, so of course I had to capture this photo:
Similarly, if you know me, you know that I'm a big fan of colorsplash images...so sue me ;-)
All right, for those of you who expected to see a picture of a car in a post about a walk around a car show, here it is:
This is a pretty cool hot rod, seen from my POV:
No, this isn't a rusty old truck. It's an old truck painted to look rusty. It was one of my favorite vehicles at the show:
Another detail, one that reminds me of my youth, when we had an antenna on our car. I love the old "76" ball, while my wife used to like to put on seasonal Mickey Mouse heads on our cars:
Low rider culture is big in this area and was a focus of the show, with several car clubs participating. This South Land crew parked in a red-white-blue order that I didn't appreciate until I saw the image. Then, I did this to it:
That's it for this week. Not much of a walk, but some cool cars. Thanks for stopping by to take a look!
