Sunset Lake

Sunset Lake is in Wildwood and Wildwood Crest, New Jersey. It's also known as the bay. It's only called a lake because it's a wide section of the bay. West of the lake is mostly swampy grass land. The Southeastern part of the lake is Sunset Park. The Northeastern part of the lake is mostly all private houses with private docks. I wish I could afford to live in one of those houses. Every East and West street ends dead ends at the bay. I'd be happy living in a tiny little shack on the bay. Most of the homes there are big, and worth millions of dollars.

I'm actually not going down the shore anymore because of my new night job. I took all these photos at the beginning of this month. I so regret not taking more photos. I still have extras I'll be using in future posts. I went to so many unique places down there, and I didn't always bring my camera. I don't like bringing my camera outside when it's windy, and it usually is down there on the island. I lived part time right by the 5G water tower, and the bay is only 1 block away.

I went swimming in a bay for the first time ever in my life last month. It was during peak high tide, and I saw a group of high school kids diving and running down and flipping off the boat launch, which is in the first photo; so I dove in. I was told at a young age that you can't swim in bays because there's too many crabs. I didn't get bit by anything. I think I was told wrong. It's a bit smelly, but not a bad smell. I always shower after I swim anyway. I have seen several people catch tiny sharks there. I don't think there's any dangerous sharks in the bay.
