Because your recovery account on your old Hive account was steem, you had no chance of recovering that account even if you had your old owner key. 🙁
Anyway, maybe you can create another Hive account which you will use alongside that account. 🤔 If you plan on stacking tokens, you should put most of them on the new account. 🤓
