# Trades, trades, trades! *An activity to enhance your capital and lifestyle.* ---

First Part - What is trading?

Hello Hivers & LeoFinancers of the world! Today's post is both an introduction, and an invitation to get involved into the wonderful world of trading, *a.k.a.* capital management. ![A First Look At It.](https://files.peakd.com/file/peakd-hive/elyelma/Eoe8h7krF5V2RuftE7AfYkHqPv2svDjPuGTXpDZYeo3drmCvEEEaf1CoAmN2b9B3pbb.jpg) I am positive that if you're reading this, you for sure have interest *at least* in crypto markets, but may be aware that there are many different markets around that could serve to the main purpose we all have: enhancing our financial status, and eventually achieving financial freedom. The ability to work remotely whenever-wherever you may want to, it is something priceless, and despite I am not fully there yet, I am working towards this objective, and I want to share my experience and so far acquired knowledge with you all. So back to the question that opens up this first part of the post: *What Is Trading?* the short answer is: > *"Trading is an activity where we speculate the markets in search for a potential price variance in a financial instrument that allows us to keep the difference."* --- And what does it mean? That we are analyzing the market structure of a price movement in an effort to try to predict future movements. Second Part - Disclosures: 99% of Traders Lose Money

> *"I knew it was too good to be truth!"* Yeah. That is correct. The estimative is that 95% of traders *WorldWide* lose money to the markets, but I'll risk to affirm that the percentage could be higher, as much as 99%. So *WHY!!??? WHY IN THE WORLD PEOPLE CONTINUES TO DO SO!?* Dunno... human nature, I'd say. The markets, all of them, are ruled by human emotions, mainly two of them (to rule 'em all) which are: *greed*, and *fear.* However, I'd say the greatest one is greed, as this fear is also motivated by greed. Let's explain this principle with an example: You decide to go ahead and sell your old car... or house, or cellphone... I KNOW! Let's say that... * You decide to power-down your hardly earned **HIVE** and sell a bit of it to pay whatever-it-may-be. Then, after it's gone and the money's well spent, let's say the next day you wake up just to find HIVE has pumped 36% overnight and you wish you hadn't done this! Rings any bells? * Another one: Next week you receive your paycheck and decide you will catch next HIVE pump. So you take your also hard earned fiat (whichever it may be) and buy some crypto to eventually buy HIVE at... let's say 60 cents each HIVE. Then, after it's bought and the money's well spent, let's say the next day you wake up just to find HIVE has sinked to 30 cents overnight, and you wish you hadn't put your money in it! Sounds familiar? * Another situation: You don't care for the amount of HIVE you now have, instead you're seeing your fiat amount at half, and stare at it every single moment of the day, until you decide enough it's enough! You decide to sell at 50% loss because one never knows if it may go even lower, so c'est la vie, live to fight another day, you go and sell it all. Then, after it's done and the HIVE's well gone, let's say the next day you wake up just to find HIVE has returned to the previous 60 cents price overnight, and you literally want to kill yourself! (don't.) *Been there, done that.* In all these situations you've been moved by regret (of selling too early and not catching the pump,) greed (as to catch the next pump,) and fear (of seeing your capital even more lessen.) All these feelings are fine and are a customary part of what constitutes human behavior... but for capital management, they constitute an all-too-common, yet *colossal* mistake. ![No it's not.](https://i.pinimg.com/originals/10/7a/97/107a97ca5bd4a571edcebec54a66fc32.jpg) ---

Third Part - The Proposal and Community

So the answer is clear: let's supress all trace of human behavior in ourselves, and then become profitable machines, right? ...well, kinda, yet not quite. The idea is mainly to gather as much knowledge as possible. There are traders out there, hacking the market and getting insane profits out of it. Other, having very nice returns (even less than the HBD Savings account!) but applied to huge capitals, therefore getting a very nice profit for themselves while risking insured money. The question is: *Can We do it?* My answer is and will always be **YES!** If someone (anyone) else can do it, then you my friend, can do it also. Have no doubts about it! We certainly are not machines and cannot part ways with human behavior, but also we cannot predict the future! And here is where that 99% of traders are miserably failing: we won't know for sure if a price will go up, or down. What we can have is a trading idea, then probabilities will do the rest. That is so beautiful. It took me a few years of also miserably failing (*it was only miserably because how it made me felt*) until I understood this one, and used the statistics on my favor, and let the market do whatever it wants to do. It was like magic! So right now I am planning on taking an examination test that, if approved, will allow me to manage larger capitals, and devote myself entirely to this activity. In this moment I want to take a moment to mention that I am not alone in this journey. I've had the unconditional support and company of my partners and also family: @arkpb, @bitacorajames and occasionally @blessedgoat33 - we together are **MVP Trading Room**. We have studied the markets, the trends, the technical analysis techniques, the fundamental analysis data, chart patterns, candlesticks patterns, market structure, supply and demand levels and zones, different trading styles, many financial instruments: Forex, Crypto, ETFs, commodities, synthetics... uff! Finally after two and a half years of studying and studying, finally we're coming to a point where we feel comfortable with our trading style, and management (in the wide sense of the word) of circumstances and outcomes, and started to being profitable in a consistent way. This is so freaking cool! I have gathered each one of them and we've decided to open up the community of MVP TR here in Hive. Not to sell smoke as many do (just go ahead and search "trading" in YouTube :S) but to share our story of failure and success, our daily activity, tools, knowledge, and engage with anyone of you who may also want to take this (rough) path to freedom. front

Primera parte - ¿Qué es el trading?

¡Hola Hivers y LeoFinancers del mundo! El post de hoy es tanto una introducción, como una invitación a involucrarse en el maravilloso mundo del trading, tambien conocido como *gestión de capital.* ![Un primer vistazo a ello.](https://files.peakd.com/file/peakd-hive/elyelma/Eoe8h7krF5V2RuftE7AfYkHqPv2svDjPuGTXpDZYeo3drmCvEEEaf1CoAmN2b9B3pbb.jpg) Estoy seguro de que si estás leyendo esto, tienes interés *al menos* en los mercados de criptomonedas, pero puede que seas consciente de que hay muchos mercados diferentes que podrían servir al propósito principal que todos tenemos: mejorar nuestro estado financiero, y eventualmente alcanzar la libertad financiera. La capacidad de trabajar de forma remota cuando y donde quieras, es algo que no tiene precio, y a pesar de que no estoy totalmente allí todavía, estoy trabajando hacia este objetivo, y quiero compartir mi experiencia y los conocimientos adquiridos hasta ahora con todos y cada uno de ustedes. Así que volviendo a la pregunta que abre esta primera parte del post: *¿Qué es el trading?* la respuesta corta es: > *"El trading es una actividad en la que especulamos en los diferentes mercados financieros en busqueda de una posible variación de precios que nos permita quedarnos con la diferencia"*. --- ¿Y qué significa esto? Que estamos constantemente analizando la estructura de mercado de un precio para intentar *predecir* los movimientos futuros. Segunda parte - Revelaciones: El 99% de los traders pierden dinero

> *"¡Sabía que era demasiado bueno para ser verdad!"* Sí. Eso es correcto. La estimación es que en realidad el 95% de los traders *Mundialmente* pierden dinero en los mercados, pero me atrevere a afirmar aqui que el porcentaje podría ser mayor, tanto como el 99%. Entonces *¿Por qué? ¿POR QUÉ LA GENTE SIGUE HACIÉNDOLO?* No sé... la naturaleza humana, diría yo. Los mercados, todos ellos, se rigen por las emociones humanas, principalmente dos de ellas que son: *la codicia*, y el *miedo*. Sin embargo la mayor es la codicia, ya que este miedo también está motivado por la codicia. Vamos a explicar este principio con un ejemplo: Usted decide que es hora de vender su carro viejo... o su casa, o su celular... ¡YA SÉ! Digamos que... * Decides hacer un Power Down de tu **HIVE** que tanto te costo ganar y vas a vender un poco para pagar lo que sea que necesites pagar. Entonces, después de que vendiste y el dinero ya esta bien gastado, digamos que al día siguiente te levantas y ves que el HIVE ha subido un 36% de la noche a la mañana y ¡desearías no haberlo hecho! ¿Te suena? * Otra mas: La semana siguiente recibes tu sueldo y decides que vas a aprovechar la próxima subida de HIVE. Así que agarras tu también duramente ganado fiat (dolares, bolivares, pesos, lo que sea) y compras algo de cripto para eventualmente comprar HIVE a... digamos 60 céntimos de dolar cada HIVE. Entonces, después de comprarlo y de haber gastado ya el dinero, digamos que al día siguiente te despiertas para encontrar que HIVE cayo a 30 centavos de la noche a la mañana, ¡y desearías no haber gastado tu dinero! ¿Te resulta familiar? * Otra mas: No te importa la cantidad de HIVE que tienes ahorita, sino que ves tu cantidad de fiat a la mitad, y te lo quedas mirando fijamente por horas esperando a que suba, ¡hasta que decides que ya es suficiente! Decides vender con un 50% de pérdidas porque uno nunca sabe si puede bajar aún más, así que c'est la vie, viviremos para luchar otro día, ya esta, vas y lo vendes todo. Entonces, después de hacerlo y de que el HIVE ya se vendio, digamos que al día siguiente te despiertas para encontrar que el precio de HIVE ha vuelto al precio anterior de 60 céntimos de la noche a la mañana, ¡y literalmente quieres suicidarte! (no lo hagas.) *Te aseguro que he hecho todo lo anterior.* En todas estas situaciones te ha movido primero el arrepentimiento y la culpa (por haber vendido demasiado pronto y no haber agarrado el precio caro de HIVE) la codicia (de agarrar el siguiente impulso pa' rriba) y el miedo (cuando ves tu capital a la mitad y no quieres que siga cayendo). Todos estos sentimientos son naturales y son parte habitual de lo que constituye el comportamiento humano... pero en cuanto a gestión del capital se refiere, constituyen un error demasiado común, pero *colosal*. ![No lo esta.](https://i.pinimg.com/originals/10/7a/97/107a97ca5bd4a571edcebec54a66fc32.jpg) ---

Tercera parte - La propuesta y comunidad

Así que la respuesta es clara: suprimamos todo rastro de comportamiento humano en nosotros mismos, y luego convirtámonos en máquinas rentables, ¿no? ...Bueno, más o menos, pero no. La idea es acumular el mayor conocimiento posible. Hay traders por ahí, pegandole duro al mercado y sacando beneficios brutales de él. Otros, teniendo rendimientos muy bonitos (¡que son incluso menos que los Savings de HBD!) pero aplicados a capitales enormes, por lo que obtienen un beneficio excelente para ellos mismos mientras arriesgan dinero de otro y que de pasapalo esta asegurado. La cuestión es: *¿Podremos hacerlo nosotros?* Mi respuesta es y será siempre **SÍ!** Si alguien (quien sea) puede hacerlo, entonces tú, mi pana, también puedes hacerlo. Nunca lo dudes. Ciertamente no somos máquinas y no podemos separarnos del comportamiento natural humano, pero la cosa es que tampoco podemos predecir el futuro. Y aquí es donde el 99% de los traders fallan estrepitosamente: en realidad nunca vamos a saber con certeza si un precio subirá o bajará. Lo que podemos tener es una idea de trading, y luego las probabilidades harán el resto. Es bonito cuando lo entiendes. A mí me costó unos cuantos años de fracasar también miserablemente (*sólo era miserable por cómo me hacía sentir*) hasta que entendí esto, y comence a utilizar lo que son las estadísticas a mi favor, y dejé que el mercado hiciera lo suyo. ¡Fue como una magia! Ahorita mis planes son hacer una prueba que si la apruebo, me permitirá comenzar a manejar capitales más grandes, y me permitirian dedicarme por completo a esta actividad. Me siento muy contento por esto. Aqui quiero tomar un momento para mencionar que no estoy solo en este viaje. He contado siempre con el apoyo incondicional y la compañía de mis socios y también familia: @arkpb, @bitacorajames, ocasionalmente @blessedgoat33 - y juntos somos **MVP Trading Room**. Hemos estudiado los mercados, las tendencias, el análisis técnico, los datos y el análisis fundamental, los patrones chartistas, los gráficos, los patrones de las velas, la estructura del mercado, los niveles y zonas de oferta y demanda, los diferentes estilos de trading, muchos instrumentos financieros: ¡Forex, Crypto, ETFs, materias primas, sintéticos... uff! Finalmente, después de dos años y medio de estudiar y estudiar, por fin estamos llegando a un punto en el que nos sentimos cómodos con nuestro estilo de trading, y la gestión (en el amplio sentido de la palabra) de las circunstancias y los resultados, y empezamos a ser rentables de una manera consistente. ¡Esto se siente genial!
