Voting for the Lesser of Two Evils is throwing away your Vote.

Again we are in the middle of another presidential election season. All the talk right now is who will be next president and how awful both candidates are. The great intellectuals on TV are always there to remind us how this is the most important election of all time, this is what they say every election. The worst part of it all is the perception that you are locked into a two party system... no matter what.

You may not like the candidate of the party you are registered to, but if the other candidate wins we all might as well move to Canada. How many times have you heard that? You do not end up voting for who you believe will be a good president but out of fear of the opposition. Is this really what this 'god' we call democracy is all about? I don't think so.

Every election millions of people go to vote for the 'lesser of two evils'. I say we reject evil all together and make a silent but very loud political statement! Just cast a vote for who ever you think would make the best president. Even if there is a 0.0% chance of it happening. Say 20% of the voters did this, it would be terrifying for the leadership of the current two party system.

Everyone will say that you are throwing away your vote. How am I throwing away my vote by casting it for someone who I actually believe in? No, you are really the one throwing away your vote. Lets face it, if you vote for someone because the other candidate is evil, you have thrown away your vote.
