Communication is important and there are many ways to explain what you are doing or planning to do but each type resonates differently from person to person and while using the chat box could be viable its easy to lose information in the clutter of other peoples text, Here's some Video Games with ways to give information to your team on what's happening inside your virtual battle zone.
In War Thunder you can inform teammates of spots to be weary of by opening the map and clicking on the grid

In Heroes of the Storm and all other MOBA type games you'll utilize Pings on the mini map that everybody will hear and see and if you hold the ping button it will open up a mini menu to give the ping further detail
Top is Danger, Right is On My Way, Bottom is Assist Me, and Left is Defending. The bad thing about pings is that players will often spam it if they feel they need to get a point across to you or another player, This may cause players to start to ignore pings the further it is spammed for no reason. Use your pings responsibly!
In Monster Hunter Rise they use premade messages as its somewhat tricky to write a message during a hunt. These premade messages get seen by the entire hunting party and allows everybody to know what the goal is for the hunt
These messages are used in the lobby as well as during a hunt and you can swap them out for a different message to be thrown out.
It is important to let your team know what's going on in an area so they can be better prepared to assist you to victory. I was playing Hell Let Loose and the squad leader asked via Voice Chat for somebody to play the support role so I picked it up and I ran with him placing spawn points for our team to regroup and every time we pushed we would place another spawn further in and further in until we won! Use the tools you are given to push yourself further in your gaming.
