Croatia, or officially, Republic of Croatia is a country at the crossroads of Central and Southeast Europe, on the Adriatic Sea. It borders Slovenia to the northwest, Hungary to the northeast, Serbia to the east, Bosnia and Herzegovina, and Montenegro to the southeast, sharing a maritime border with Italy. Its capital, Zagreb, forms one of the country's primary subdivisions, along with twenty counties. This geographic advantage makes Croatia a blend of several cultures.

This birthplace of the mythical goddess Aphrodite has had a lot of history with admirers such as the Mycenaeans, Egyptians, Assyrians and Persians among many. This along with its rich history and architectural landmarks makes it an interesting location. The island's geography of abundant coastline with mountainous center ensures plenty of activity all year round.

Croatia's turbulent history has made it establish itself as an exciting destination great for all the family. Among other things, you may not be aware that the small Central European country pioneered fountain pens and invented the necktie. The country benefits from the hot summers and mild winters of a Mediterranean climate.
