Boostnote is an open source project. It's an independent project with its ongoing development.. it is a note-taking app for programmers that focusing on markdown, snippet and customizability.
The category option help a lot when it comes to writing notes. It help the user choose a particular category he wants to add his note. If the user is writing something related to studies. They can add the notes to Study under the category option. I suggest that the developers of this app should add the category option to the application so it will help users categorize each note under the right category.

The category icon should be placed on the note menu bar for easy access..See picture below
After clicking on the icon on the menu bar shown on the first screenshot, the category options will appear like this for the user to choose which category he or she wishes to add their note,,See screenshot below..
This is one great feature every note should have. It helps the user identify and differentiate where each particular note were being stored. Also giving a good and easy guide for people going through your saved note because it will guide them on which note to check and not to.
