ULOG: # 4 ME AND MY DAUGHTER MADE A HOMEMADE SNACK "MOCHI" - A Choco Filled Rice Ball

Hello there Steemian People!

I just want to share how me and my daughter made "Mochi" a homemade snack filled with Chocolate.

This is my Daughter holding the finished product of what we made...
But what is "Mochi"?
It is a Japanese word:

Mochi (Japanese: 餅, もち) is Japanese rice cake made of mochigome, a short-grain japonica glutinous rice. The rice is pounded into paste and molded into the desired shape. ... This rice is characterized by its lack of amylose in the starch and is derived from short or medium japonica rices.

Now you know.

The Ingredients we needed to cook "Mochi"...:

First, we prepared the ingredients. From the word " Mochi" it is made out of a glutinous rice. So we need a Glutinous rice and here it is:

This rice flour can be easily found in the Market. I'm not an endorser of this brand, so you can buy whatever brand you like as long as it is a fine rice flour.

And also, we need a choco filling, so I bought this " ChocoMucho pop bites" in the 7 eleven store near our home.

Again I am not an endorser of this brand nor to the store where I've bought. You can buy any kind of Choco bites to any store where there is an available one.

Of course we, need water to make the rice flour into a paste and mold it into small balls. We need also Milo a powdered Choco as toppings. A cooking pot and of course stove.

So here are the procedures:

= We added water into the rice flour and made it into a paste and mold it into small pieces of balls. But before molding it into small balls, we filled each ball with the Choco bites. Just like what is shown in the next pictures:

= Next was, we put water in a pot and let it boil. When the water was boiling, we put the Rice balls.

Then, we just waited when the balls were floating, that's the indication that the Rice balls were already cooked.

This was how easy to cook "Mochi".

To add a little enhancement of our "Mochi" flavor, we added and sprinkled the one small pack of "Milo." Just like what is shown in the picture.

And so, that was how easy to cook "Mochi" with choco filling...:

It's time now to taste it...you can make it, too. Hope you like
it...

You know, it's not really the taste that I really wanted why I did cook "Mochi" with my daughter but the time we spent to each other. This is what we call " Father and Daughter bonding."
