#ULOG 28: OUR KIND OF NUTRITION MONTH | Friday Get Together

To My Lovely Readers...

Today will be my twenty-eighth #ulog post and sharing you our experience in the celebration of our nutrition month in our school. July is national nutrition month so before ending this month, our principal decided to have it today. It was not a big activity for us in our school, as long as students and parents, teachers, staff gathered then our activity was something.

Even before the nutrition month is celebrated annually in public school or private schools in July as an observation and to raise awareness of healthy diets. We knew that students would be very happy, activities like cooking and art. Days ago, we asked the parents and students to bring some food that includes in the grow and glow foods which we can cook in the said day of our celebration during lunch time. Parents even suggested if they could bring fish or chicken and the rest would be vegetables or fruits. Healthy eating on the said day because we have to show and let the students learn that these foods are good for their body and health.

Early in the morning we gathered in our activity area in our school and as for students with the help of their parents, it was a great idea that they participated the cooking activity. Teachers and staff were glad that the parents brought lots of food for our lunch, vegetables, fruits, fish, chicken and some healthy treat foods.

Teachers, Parents and staff helped each other in grilling some food, preparing some stuff on the table and assisting the kids showing them the some healthy foods. It was fun as I may see it because at lunch time we had a very good meal. Indeed it was a get together in our school, a celebration for our nutrition month. We had fun talking to the parents of our students too as well as having some activities with them before lunch time.

We celebrated nutrition month with a healthy treat for our body and being aware with the food that we eat. Showing the students this kind of activity is letting them learn more why we celebrate this. We can also focus the importance of the food choices we have and activity habits. We really had a palatable and enjoyable lunch.

Thank you for reading my 28th #ulog post. :)
