Hello Steemians, like I will always say, I have missed you guys so much and I know things will get better soonest. Thanks so much for sticking around.
It's been twenty one days in camp and I am finally out.. Its been an amazing experience so far and I can boldly say that I have met great minds here in sagamu orientation camp, ọgụn state, Nigeria.
Personal assessment of camping activities and environment
Ogun state orientation camp is said to be one of the best camps in Nigeria, its neatness is exceptional, coupled with the annex stadium. The camp is blessed with a serene environment, an affordable Maami market, a two thousand capacity Multi-purpose hall, well equipped basket and volleyball court, a suitable clinic with qualified medical practitioners, and a standard broadcasting studio. The man o'war drills and morning parade is an interesting aspect of the camp, the social and sporting events can't be left out in activities that have made my stay in the camp worthwhile.
We had different inter-platoon competitions and the camping major events were all concluded with an amazing carnival.
The hostels
The male and female hostels comprises a forty two(42) bed space for each room..
I also can't forget my wonderful roommates with different funny categories of character (Lol).
Finally... Camp is fun. At the beginning, it will be boring, but at d ending, you will enjoy it. Like I will miss my roommates... They can argue for Africa... Including the drunkard we have in our room.. And the pastor.... The Drunkard will Go get drunk at the popular Maami market in camp, then he will come back late at night to disturb the peace of everyone in the room. The pastor we have in the room will try his best to convince the drunkard to change his way of life by preaching to him.. 🤣😅🤣Funny set of human beings, we even have a professor.. He studied history... This one can start from morning to tell us about NIGERIA and our forefathers... Then, we have a mathematician that loves to calculate everything for us🤣🤣. This one calculated government expenditures on our allowee, feeding, bed etc.. (lol). We also have a one time chronic Igbo smoker that got repented🤣🤣this one will talk and talk out of point most times..
The list is endless and the camping scheme by the Federal Government that started three weeks ago has finally come to an end. The memories have come to stay and I sure will cherish them for a long time because they are once in a lifetime.
