Red cardinal painting by 6 y.o.

Hello friends,

Today I would like to share my little student/daughter’s.painting. She had two attempts. The first one you see is the recent one. The other painting is from about two months ago.

I’m really proud to see how she is improving her art skills. Also I’m happy how patiently she can sit for an hour and work so hard.

She used “Smart Craft” acrylic paints and “Artist Loft” watercolor paper pad. I think the price and quality works for kids’ art pretty well.

Now a little info about this bird.

The northern cardinal is also known as the redbird, common cardinal, red cardinal, or just cardinal. You can find them in southeastern Canada, through the eastern United States from Maine to Minnesota to Texas, and south through Mexico, Belize, and Guatemala. The male is a vibrant red, and the female is a reddish olive color. The size of this bird is 21–23 cm (8.3–9.1 in).
