Procurement In Hard Times - FREE STUFF!

Yep, not ashamed to admit that the budget is literally stuffed up. Lost way too much time and money because of this "lockdown" BS and all the price hikes that are running ramped.

Not sure how to balance the books so to say, but on that note, I'm not one to whinge (too much) have to improvize, overcome and adapt to the situation we are facing.

If people could only know the dollar figures we've lost over the past years and particularly now. Probably the worst time to move anywhere, let alone overseas and then interstate. Paying ruddy rent and all that for 5 years instead of 3 to 5 months as was the original plan. Plus storage fees.

Add to that the prices of ruddy shipping containers today, compared to what they were 5 years ago, when we put our plan together. in the past 2 years the prices have gone through the roof. Same with trucking them up nth interstate, ruddy ludicrous. There is no sanity in what the politicians are doing and I reckon anyone who believes a word that comes out of their mouths needs their head read.

So, now, while there is some time available, waiting to get everything organized to go up north and do another 2 weeks in ruddy quarantine. Yes AGAIN. Each "state" has their own stupid rules and game plays in all this. Even if we are Aussies, yes, Australian Citizens, yet not all equals. But that is another despicable drama of Aussie politicians being themselves and not Australian Patriots. I am hunting down as many things for "FREE" as possible for the homestead.

Not interested in "free" stuff, but stuff that we need, from fencing wire, to fencing poles, star pickets for the yard and doors and windows for the new home (house).

What was all budgeted only 2 years ago is now not even enough to ship what we have to our property up nth, so here we go, full on "upcycling" in true Earthship fashion!

But, then again, such is life one has to do what one has to do, no point in sookin about it all. Need to face reality in the eye and five it a black eye, as one would do when facing a wanna be bully. Too bad us Aussies can't seem to apply our good ol' ways and nature when voting for our reps in parliament. If we did, then practically none of them would be in parliament!

Anyways, wanted to share this short update with everyone, to show that procurement isn't all about "where and how to spend your hard earned money", but sometimes "how not to spend it" and still get what is needed to accomplish the goals one sets!

Stay safe, God bless!
