I would like to talk about the Mohera Landlord Palace that is located very suitable place near at Pakulla of Mirzapur . It is not sure but people knew that they have started their Landlord somewhere around 1890. First Landlord was Kalichoron Shaha.
He was very famous person in this area. They have conducted trading related to Jute and Salt. They were the owner of huge and maximum of land properties from different part of Bangladesh.
During country division and war, most of them moved into India because that time they believe that india is most suitable place for live. Now Their attractive edifices are now become a tourist spot.
At this moment Mohera is being used as a Police Training Center. Four beautiful buildings stand tall to represent the wealth and power of the then landlords. A big square sized pond called ‘Bisakha Sagor’ is seen rounded by many coconut trees, making it a beautiful scenery. Most of the people like to go there because Tourists who are fond of history, culture and tradition can spend a memorable and enchanting day at Mohera .
A bus from Uttara terminal of Dhaka will take you near to the Landlord Palace. Best available bus services are Nirala , Dhaleswari Service, Jhotika Service, etc. These are direct bus for Tangail. Ask the bus to drop you at police road . This stoppage is just after the Pakulla of Mirzapur. From police road you can go there by CNG three wheeler .
If i get chance again to there i must be go there. I have seen a lot of empty dustbin there , most of us are not used to use them . Make them full .Take nothing but pictures. Leave nothing but footprints.
