Hi everyone, it's @lizanomadsoul here with the monday edition of the #traveldigest.
Another day of great places and stories around the globe to read about! This time we have great stories from Italy, Philippines, Indonesia, Australia, Germany, Thailand, USA, Portugal, Japan, Bulgaria and Norway - So a little bit of everything! - Enjoy 😉
While travelling is still hard for the most of us, and visiting another country can be almost impossible, decided to revisit my favourite hike last year, in the last days of 2019. Visited Italy for the first time, and stayed the first days in Como, a small town near the lake with the same name, in the Lombardia region. Why did I chose that location? Easy: nature! A beautiful lake and mountains all around! There are plenty of hiking trails to do in that region, and Como is a perfect base to reach them. My favourite trail? Monte Boletto. Monte Boletto is one of the closest mountains to Como, rising a little bit above 1200m. To start the trail, first you have to reach Brunate, a little village in the mountain. Best way to do it from Como? The funicular.

It's really depressing that the cases here in our City are rising. I thought it would decrease sooner or later so we could live a normal life and go on adventures. To compensate for this depressing mood let me share with you my experiences in one of the beaches located here at Northern Luzon, Philippines. During the Southeast Asian (SEA) Games that happened last year, they held the surfing competition here at Urbiztondo beach. According to this article the best time to go there is during the months of July to March. Whenever we go visit La Union with friends or family. This is where we usually go to. It's usually a 1/2 to 2 hour drive coming from Baguio depending on the traffic. It's around a 64 kilometer drive to go there if you pass by Naguilian Road.

I lived in a barangay (a small village) located in the province of Lanao del Norte known as the Land of Beauty and Bounty. But, I haven't traveled much in our province since I have been to Iligan City for almost a decade because of studies and work. Geographically, Iligan City is part of Lanao del Norte, but it is now the lone district of Iligan City. So here are my top three places I highly recommend when you visit Iligan City, Philippines.
