willkommen zum dreiundzwanzigsten Teil unserer Rundreise über die Insel Korsika.
On the penultimate day of our holiday in Corsica, we drove from Serra-di-Ferro in the south to the harbor town of Calvi in the north of the island.
Am vorletzten Tag unseres Urlaubs auf Korsika sind wir von Serra-di-Ferro im Süden in die Hafenstadt Calvi im Norden der Insel gefahren.
Since we had planned the whole day for the trip, we used the narrow coastal road in the west.
Da wir den ganzen Tag für die Fahrt eingeplant hatten, haben wir die schmale Küstenstraße im Westen benutzt.
In today's post I show you a few impressions of the coastal section between the localities Calcatoggio in the south and Cargèse in the north.
Im heutigen Post zeige ich euch ein paar Impressionen vom Küstenabschnitt zwischen den Ortschaften Calcatoggio im Süden und Cargèse im Norden.
The streets are very varied. Sometimes you go directly at the beach, and then it goes again over the mountains to the next bay.
Die Straßenführung ist hier sehr abwechslungsreich. Manchmal fährt man direkt in Strandnähe, und dann geht es auch mal wieder über die Berge zur nächsten Bucht.
In this area of the island there are some larger bathing beaches. However, it was on our day of travel very windy from the west, which pushed high waves to the beach.
In diesem Bereich der Insel gibt es einige größere Badestrände. Allerdings war es an unserem Reisetag sehr windig aus westlicher Richtung, wodurch hohe Wellen an den Strand gedrückt wurden.
From the mountains above the coast you always have a beautiful view. It is recommended to avoid this route in the main holiday season, because than a lof of motorhomes torment the passes up and down. If I remember correctly, a part of the streets is even locked for caravans, because they are too narrow and steep.
Von den Bergen oberhalb der Küste hat man immer einen schönen Ausblick. Diese Strecke sollte man aber nur in der Nebensaison fahren, in der Haupturlaubszeit quälen sich die Wohnmobile die Pässe rauf und wieder runter. Wenn ich mich richtig erinnere ist ein Teil der Staßen sogar für Wohnwagen gesperrt, da zu eng und steil.
