I'm from a place called Gugulethu also known as Gugs which is Xhosa for Our Pride, township that is based in Cape Town an established in 1960.
My family, under the apartheid law were forcibly moved from the District Six because they were not allowed to live in the the central city of Cape Town.
There's a place called Gugulethu Seven Memorial which was built to honor the death of seven young freedom fighters who lost their lives during apartheid in 3 March 1986.
There is a popular spot called Mzoli's Place, owned by Mzoli Ngcawuzele, where you can chill with your friends, have fun, listen to good music and enjoy your meat.
We also have a mall around to prevent you from driving to far places when you need to do shopping.
