Visiting Teror town in Gran Canaria

During our stay we visit small town called Teror in Gran Canaria,
is only 14 km from Las Palmas but it is an entirely different place.

In 1481, the Vigin Mary is said to have appeared in a pine tree in this small town and the pilgrims began to arrive. This Basilica, its plaza, and its museum celebrate that history.
It remains a pilgrimage destination.

Today, Teror is home to a thriving mineral water business as well as providing homes for many Las Palmas commuters.

These factors combine to make Terror an affluent town, which takes full advantage of its pretty mountain setting with well-maintained gardens, large trees,🌳 one enormous in front of the church,🕍 very clean public spaces. Particularly impressive are the large wooden balconies and colored facades found in the street leading to the Cathedral -The Basilica de la Virgen del Pino.

Terror is claimed by many to be the prettiest small town in Gran Canaria.

My experience 🤗☀️💛

During our visit, unfortunately, was raining 🌧so was quite empty , not much alive either , some of the thinks was closed I suppose of covid-19 situation but still it had their own quiet vibes.
I liked the most the architecture and the colorful balconies.
Pretty place to make pictures 📷
