In the past, shadow puppets used to be a very popular source of entertainment in countries such as Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand, China, India, Cambodia etc. It is a very artistic and ancient method of story-telling. The shadow puppets are placed between a light and a screen. The puppets are moved by the puppeteers to give the audience the illusion that the puppets are moving. Below are a few pictures that I took of a shadow puppet performance that I had watched in Cambodia.
The shadow puppet show was very interesting and provided me with a refreshing change from the usual sources of entertainment such as television, movies and social media.
