Vienna - Part 2

Vienna as i said is the music city as many famous musicians were born or work in Austria (like Franz Schubert, Joseph Lanner, Johann Strauss I, Johann Strauss II, Joseph Haydn, Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, Ludwig van Beethoven) as i said Mozart is everywhere (even as chocolate you can taste him and he is delicious!!).

Johan Strauss II has a very nice statue in Vienna Stadtpark and if i remember well it was made out of gold so dont miss it, Stadtpark is a very nice place to rest after hours walk around the city.

For sure dont miss to visit Staatsoper the famous Opera, inside architecture is magnificent, if you are lucky enough in summer outside performances are taking place. Of course for those who admire modern art, museum with piece of art like ones of Klimt is not to be missed

Regarding palaces Hofburg Palace is fine but a must visit besides Schonbrunn is Belvedere consisting of two Baroque palaces (the Upper and Lower Belvedere), the Orangery, and the Palace Stables. It is relatively close to Schonbrunn so you can visit both in the same day

On your way around the city you will see the old fashioned lovely tram and these reddish flowers i really loved, dont miss to stop for a coffee, it is a real must in Vienna

Of unique beauty in Vienna is the Parliament, believe it or not at first sight i thought it was a museum! Seems Austrians who built it loved Greece as its architecture is this of an ancient Greek temple. In addition outside you can see a high statue of Athina (the Greek Goddess).

For the last landmarks i have left St. Stephen's Cathedral, it is one of the city's most recognizable symbols with its Romanesque and Gothic form. For sure it is a must see in Vienna but those of you that have traveled a lot across Europe you may have seen lot of churches like this one.

And i will finish my tour with Hundertwasserhaus for its different architecture worth a visit and Wiener Riesenrad which is also considered as landmark but ok the whole area up there is fine for nightlife and leisure.
