#THROWBACKTHURSDAY- My Siblings & I

These are my siblings and I; Toyo (the dark lady on the left), Lanre (the fair skinned lady carrying my little girl), Tunji (the only guy in the picture), myself and Baby Juwura. That was December 2007. We were at my parents for Christmas and we had such a wonderful time together. Juwura, my first daughter was just 3 months old then. Mum insisted we took a group picture which she could frame and so we invited a friendly photographer to come do the honors. Tell me, was I bigger then than I am now? I definitely weighed much more than now.

Toyo was the beautiful, calm, very shapely one. She was at that time a student of Adekunle Ajasin University, Ondo State studying Economics Education. She was a total introvert, very comfortable being alone in her room with her novel. We were all novel and movie freaks though, Mum inclusive. Growing up, the house was either terribly quiet because each of us was reading a novel, or terribly noisy because we were all watching a movie and laughing, or empty because we were all at the pool. Everyone including both our parents, loved to swim. Now, Toyo is a Customer Service Analyst with 9mobile Telecoms formerly known as Etisalat. She is also a wife and a mother to a very pretty little girl named Ela.

Lanre was the tomboy of the house and the naughty one. She was at that time a student of Fine and Applied Arts in Ladoke Akintola University majoring in Graphics design and minoring in Textile. She was such a great dancer and member of the Excelsior dance club on campus. I remember several times when she tried to teach me the latest dance moves...hilarious! I was never much of a hip-hop dancer and was often so awkward. Now, Lanre works in the media & advertising space as a Brands Manager & Producer. She is also a Toastmaster, still a dancer, a wife and a mother to a pretty little girl named Fadeke.

Tunji aka Tj was and is still the baby of the house... lol. At that time, he was a student of Pure & Applied Physics in Ladoke Akintola University. He was also a dancer and a member of the Excelsior Dance Club too. I remember how he used to "shadow" us ladies when we were younger. Mum always sent all four of us on errands together because she believed there was safety in numbers. He'll ask us to walk ahead and come up several paces behind. He'll later give us all the gist about what the neighborhood boys said as we passed. They never noticed him nor knew he was our little brother...lol. He warned us off the trashy boys and recommended the calm, cool and level headed ones. Now, Tj is a System Analyst at the Information and Communication Technology Application Centre in Adekunle Ajasin University. He is into programming & web development and is also married with a very cute son named Timilehin.
