The Bolivian military announced that a helicopter carrying President Evo Morales made an emergency landing after a mechanical failure, which raised the suspicion of his supporters, especially after the opposition vowed to overthrow him.
No one was hurt in the 'accident' as per the Bolivian Army, but the incident sparked tensions in the country, which has been undergoing two weeks of protests against the leftist president since he was re-elected to a controversial election.
The mechanical flaw occurred when the plane was taking off from a village in the Andes where Morales was opening a new route.

On Saturday, Luis Fernando Camacho, a right-wing opposition leader in the eastern Santa Cruz region, threatened to take "decisive action" on Monday night to remove Morales from power!

Since October 20, demonstrations against the president, led by right-wing candidate Carlos Mesa, who was unlucky in the presidential election, have been continuing. Only when the US-supported candidates fail in elections they reject the results, but when they do they use force on those who reject the results even if grave wrongdoings occurred during the elections.

I personally do not believe in coincidences when it comes to political assassinations, especially when the target is not a US agent, do you?
Imagine the media coverage in the West and the NATO countries' reaction if the opposite happened, if the opposition candidate aligned with them was assassinated or an attempt assassination against him happened. In Syria, when opposition figures nobody heard of them before were killed or attacked by their own colleagues the Western media and politicians would first and for a long time accuse the Syrian state and when the real criminals appear they won't report the update, they just let it go. That's how we, Syrians, became immune to Western mainstream media.
