Yes! It is that time of the week again to get introspective, cerebral and preachy.
I hang with @wesphilbin all week long but about once in a while I pause to create a blog to discuss positive stuff using #thoughtfuldailypost as a tag. Positivity is best when shared and we often have to be reminded to linger and think good thoughts. Now, we have an all-new vehicle in the form of @thoughtfulposts, to whom I have delegated in order to crank up this party bus!
Here are a few of the pearls of wisdom delivered to me via the intertron, with added music for your pleasure.
You Ain't Seen Nuthin' Yet
When I was a corporate sales guy, I met Grant Cardone https://grantcardone.com/ when he was a headhunter. Since then, he has apparently become the "#1 SALES AND MARKETING TRAINER IN THE WORLD." Maybe I have that effect on some people?
This didn't strike me as profound as is was simple and effective. Fairly obvious if you really think of it. Perhaps more for those whose good old days are behind them? Either way, it is good to be reminded that the best is yet to come and you are only part of the way to your destiny. Might as well make it a big one.
Here is some old skool hoser rock for y'all.
Measure Yourself Ultimately
Every month should be black history month and February reminds us of that. Martin Luther King https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Martin_Luther_King_Jr need no introduction, is worth studying, and might or might not have been responsible for this statement.
Controversy and challenge may not always seem like a blessing at the time, but are the moments we do the most of our growing and learning. When you are out of your comfort zone, you are making the most progress. I suppose it could always be a time of challenge and controversy depending on your perspective but, the worse it gets, the more the challenge will test and redefine you. Best we should be measuring ourselves ultimately!
This song is for a very brave man who was measured in times of great challenge and controversy.
You know Aristotle https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Aristotle is a badass when part of his acolades include "works contain the earliest known formal study of logic" A pioneer in logic is about as legit as it gets.
If you consider what came before logic, you can begin to understand the illogical resistance with which his progressive proclamations were met. Things are much different now in some senses but it struck me how much they are the same. When idiots rise to the highest seats of power and the thesis builders are noped by armchair youtube researchers, things are not that different.
I would say it is worth it to prepare yourself for criticism and say it anyhow. I will take long strides 'til I die.
This movement is gaining momentum and now is being curated by @thoughtfulposts to whom I have delegated some #hive @thoughtfulposts/thoughtfulposts-introduction-or-a-thoughtfuldailypost is where you can get the details and please consider delegating to help make positivity extra rewarding.
