GOODBYE BETTY GREINGER.
"A set of emotions covered poor Betty Grainger after she went to live in the land that she had always loved by her own decision, that had been consecrated as a policy, she was very loved by human beings , and also for the beings of her planet, since she was always ready to reach out to those in need.
That afternoon Betty worked as usual, she did not rest, it was then that, meeting there in her office, a heated discussion arose among those present, she did not accept that Andrés, that man who claimed to love humans and was in fact human, was capable of embezzling the money destined to satisfy the children of that hospital.
In the middle of that heated discussion and without anyone foreseeing it, Betty lost all vestige of strength falling to the ground
The doctor told him that he suffered from a terrible disease, a product of the changes made to his body, in his eagerness to resemble humans, that this disease could not be cured and that unfortunately he had little time to live, at most a few months.
She was discharged and once at home she plunged into the most terrible sadness, she could not understand, for many days she cried inconsolably, she felt that life was unfair.
Seeing that he could no longer do anything, that morning he decided to put his affairs in order, so he went to his office, took some papers and went to the competent authorities, where he filed the corresponding complaint against Andrés, who was arrested and Prosecuted for stealing the money destined for the children's health, once that problem was solved, he locked himself in his house where he stayed for a month without speaking to anyone, he hardly ate and there were very few forces that accompanied him to his body.
One night talking with her husband, she stopped seeing the desire she had to return to her planet, because although she loved the earth and felt part of it, every day she longed to return to her planet.
Her husband seeing the suffering that she felt, decided to arrange everything to take her to his planet, and so he did, she was transferred to her native home.
When Betty woke up she found herself in that familiar place that in essence nothing had changed, but that the passage of time had not forgiven its walls were worn and a bit dirty, she did not care, the only thing she felt was that now had reached their planet.
That morning Betty asked her husband to take her to that place where they met, he took her there with all possible care, her pale, destroyed and emaciated face was a sign of the wear she had suffered, in addition to being a reminder of the little time left.
He knew it, she had come there, just to say goodbye, he took her in his arms and they sat on the edge of that cliff, then she hugged him as tightly as her strength allowed and in a single blink, Betty left her planet alone. this time it would be forever, his body began to fade, being converted into millions of particles that spread into space, from where he could observe both the earth and his planet, two places that I always love.
