In 2012, Elon Musk shocked everyone in the transportation industry by announcing the development of the hyperloop. The hyperloop uses a series of pneumatic tubes to transport passengers and goods without friction, severely curtailing transportation time. In May 2016, it passed a successful test run in the desert.
Now, we have an actual video of the hyperloop levitating for the first time. Forget the high-speed rail between SF and LA. In the near future, we'd hyperloop everywhere. I'm so excited!
