There are two factors you must declare and then you will have the answer.
- What is the most demanding game you wish to play?
- Do you want to game now or game later?
Once you have admitted the truth to yourself, you are able to define your budget.
If your budget is not enough to buy the hardware necessary to play the most computationally demanding game that you want to play, then you will simply not be able to play that game until prices go down.
This could be years. Are you willing to wait potentially years to play that game you want to play? Are you willing to buy used hardware that came out this year, but buy it used in 3 years when the price goes way down?
The eternal question is always the same:
Do you want to game now or do you want to game later?

Ask it to yourself again, and admit the truth to yourself:
Do you want to game now or do you want to game later?
You want to game now.
Reset your budget. Amp it up by another $500 dollars, or even more, until you can purchase the hardware necessary to play your favorite, most demanding video game.
Take out a loan. Beg your parents. Blow a friend.
Do whatever it takes to afford the necessary hardware, because there is nothing more important than answering that question.

"I want to game NOW!"
Do it. Go on your favorite hardware website or visit your local computer store and begin purchasing everything you need for the ultimate gaming PC. There is no longer a reason to hold back. It's time to build the ultimate computer.
You've become consumed with the desire to GAME NOW.
