Regular readers of this blog can be surprised with a completely different mood at this Friday - but hey - who is so nihilistic to come up with the darkness in the first sunny days of the year ? Definitely not the Lovely Foxes ! We believe that there is a light, waiting for every darkness. For keeping the healthy balance between episodes with the information about the newest, freshest or upcoming, unreleased stuff and episodes with a solid piece of history, today #technofriday will take you on the travel in time. Exactly twenty years ago, 26th April 1999, probably the most famous Icelandic band GusGus has released their third album called This Is Normal, and thrilled the world with their unique mixture of electronic, downtempo and house served in the funky way. Album released through 4AD Label gained a lot of positive reviews because of distinctive, but yet uncommon sounds, dreamy vocals and also a great way of drifting between styles. Sometimes instead of looking into the future, searching for the unknown, it is worth to slow down for a moment and think about the past. This moment is now, and This Is Normal will help you to go back in time, to the times with when beautiful electronic music albums were released and promoted globally without internet support. Below you can listen to the promotional single or listen directly to the whole album online.
