First Trip of The Year

2019 is definitely a roller coaster year for me to take a leap of faith and get into the entrepreneurial path at the end of the year. This makes me anxious but excited for the year to come which is 2020. Throughout these eleven months, I had not stop to think over and over on what would have happen if I am going to get out of there and make something, with my own branding and all. Now, when I’m really in it, no doubt, it is tough and getting from zero to one is definitely a no joke thing. It is either you do it or you die.

Off We Go

Well, back to the topic for the day, which is the first trip of the year. Now @enjiliew and I are on the way to Shanghai to find potential business opportunity to bring back Malaysia and start something together. It will be something more inclined to pet. I have never think of we would both take such a risk to start something from scratch and go out there to explore for opportunity. To me, the experience itself is most valuable. Whether or not we could make it, this experience of exploration and venturing into the deep blue ocean is definitely a memorable one and we could learn a lot too. Nevertheless, we would definitely hope it could turn into a real sustainable business that would get us to more opportunities and eventually make us into the Business and Investor Quadrant.

The Unexpected

This trip to Shanghai is an unexpected one. She had this crazy idea one day she woke up and register to this b2b global pet expo in Shanghai National Exhibition and Convention Center with the company name of Vetamind. Now, we are on the way to the expo with the company registered and ready to roll off with exciting product line to be introduced to the public soon. The trip itself has more business sense then pleasure but I would say it is our first personal trip whereby Kimiji is on the move to create the future together. That is something worth looking forward to and I see this as a good start.

Finding The Right Path

A sudden cross of mind where she found this quote “the ships parked in the harbor are safe, but ships are not meant to be built this way.” This reflects back to us in a very good way. Both of us always wanted to start something and we have constant conversation on what we want to do together. However, things remain as words but not into action. With such a strong intention identified, we take this opportunity to start on this journey and see how we could break the wave and get on the route that would bring us satisfaction of life. Each journey we make marks a new exploration and this one is another big turn for us.

Enroute With Books Accompanied

On the 4 hours plus flight to Shanghai, we spent the time reading. I’m reading on the book written by Wu Jun named Altitude. She is reading through an ebook written by Pat Bet David, named Doing the Impossible. I will be writing some takeaway I get from my reading and keep this going.

Some Thoughts Before Rest

To be honest, this is a trip where I felt equally excited and nervous about. It is the first trip of ours to talk about business and to face challenges and of course to obtain opportunities as a whole, as Kimiji. Anticipating for the people and events that we are going to have throughout this trip, as we believe things will get easier and better when we face it together.

No worries, two brains are always better than one. Why nervous 😘
