EKSPEDISI KEMBARA & KHIDMAT MASYARAKAT, GABUNGAN PENGEMBARA TEGAR SABAH KE SK LONGKOGUNGAN, PENAMPANG. 13rd - 14th January 2018
Coalition of 49 adventurous people, climbers & trekkers from all over Sabah, ventured through hills and montane forest for 16KM(Per way) to reach Kampong Longkogungan, Penampang. This is not an ordinary trek as they have to start their descend at approximately 1600m (Gunung Emas) to 500m(Kg. Longkogungan) with loads on their back. Each of them carry on their back at least 10KG of donated goods(Not inclusive of their own gears) for 16KM to the village. Heavy loads, Kerangas forest, extremely steep slippery trail, no proper steps, river crossing, log bridge crossing and last but not least the friendly slimy leeches. These are the ingredients that make the trail extremely dangerous and interesting at the same time.
