Una figura importante en mi hogar
Como he contado en anteriores ocasiones mi casa está llena de objetos muy interesantes, y como todo un fanático loco que soy de hacer fotografías a cualquier cosa que me llame la atención me puse a hacerles sesiones a varios de estos objetos.
Mi madre es una persona bastante religiosa practicante del catolicismo, y además creyente de los Santos, desde muy pequeña se crio con estas culturas y costumbres, hoy día mi casa cuenta con muchas figuras de Santos y Ángeles que para ella son muy importantes y que no solo se han vuelto símbolos físicos de sus creencias sino también una de las muchas formas en la que canalizar su fe.
Las fotos que quiero mostrarles hoy son de una de las figuras importantes del gran grupo que existe en mi hogar, esta es la figura del Arcángel San Rafael.
A very important figure in my home
As I have told on previous occasions my house is full of very interesting objects, and as a crazy fan that I am of taking photographs of anything that catches my attention I started to make sessions to several of these objects.
My mother is a very religious person practicing Catholicism, and also a believer of the Saints, from a very young age she grew up with these cultures and customs, today my house has many figures of Saints and Angels that for her are very important and that have not only become physical symbols of their beliefs but also one of the many ways in which to channel their faith.
The photos I want to show you today are of one of the important figures of the great group that exists in my home, this is the figure of the Archangel Saint Raphael.

Raphael is an archangel who is considered to be responsible for healings in most Abrahamic religions. However, not all religions regard Raphael's identification as canonical.
In Christianity, Raphael is generally associated with an unnamed angel from the Gospel of John, who maintains the healing waters of the Pool of Bethesda, although he is one of the leading figures of the Book of Tobias, accepted as canonical by Catholics and Orthodox.
Se trata de uno de los tres patrones del peregrino. Asimismo, está reconocido como ángel en la Iglesia de Jesucristo de los Santos de los Últimos Días, ya que se menciona brevemente en Doctrina y Convenios.
En el islam, Rafael es el cuarto ángel en relevancia, y en la tradición islámica es conocido como Israfil. Aunque no es nombrado en el Corán, el hadiz identifica a Israfil con el ángel del Corán 6:73. En la escatología islámica, se le asocia con una trompeta que posa en sus labios, a la espera de que Dios ordene que anuncie el Día del Juicio Final.

It is one of the three patrons of the pilgrim. He is also recognized as an angel in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, as he is briefly mentioned in the Doctrine and Covenants.
In Islam, Raphael is the fourth angel in relevance, and in Islamic tradition he is known as Israfil. Although not named in the Qur'an, the hadith identifies Israfil with the angel of the Qur'an 6:73. In Islamic eschatology, he is associated with a trumpet that rests on his lips, waiting for God to command him to announce the Day of Judgment.

Comencé haciéndole fotos solo porque la figura me llamó la atención y investigando un poco he aprendido que es un personaje realmente bastante interesante.
No soy una persona muy creyente ni religiosa pero eso no significa que no respete las creencias y la cultura de las demás personas, además soy una persona bastante curiosa y aunque no crea todo me resulta muy interesante de estudiar para aprender todo lo que pueda.
I started taking pictures of him just because the figure caught my attention and doing some research I have learned that he is a really interesting character.
I am not a very believing or religious person but that does not mean that I do not respect the beliefs and culture of other people, I am also a very curious person and although I do not believe everything I find it very interesting to study to learn as much as I can.

El día festivo de Rafael fue incluido por primera vez en el calendario romano general de 1921, con celebración el 24 de octubre. Raphael's holiday was first included in the general Roman calendar of 1921, with celebration on October 24. In the 1969 revision of the general Roman calendar, the feast was moved to September 29 to coincide with that of the archangels St. Michael and Gabriel. However, the Catholic Church allows, under certain limits, the ancient holiday of October 24 in some cases.
Se dice que el arcángel Rafael se ha aparecido en Córdoba, España, durante el siglo XVI; en respuesta a la proposición de la ciudad, el papa Inocencio X permitió la celebración local en honor del arcángel el 7 de mayo, día en el que habría ocurrido la aparición.
San Juan de Dios, fundador de la orden hospitalaria que lleva su nombre, dijo haber tenido apariciones de San Rafael, quien lo animó e instruyó. En tributo a este acontecimiento, muchas de las instalaciones de los hermanos hospitalarios de San Juan de Dios son llamadas como "Centros de Rafael".

¿Que cámara utilicé?
Esta fue la cámara que utilicé para hacer las fotos, una Sony A 330 de 10.2 mpx con un lente 18-55, aunque es un poco vieja es muy buena cámara y he tratado de aprovecharla mucho.

This was the camera I used to take the photos, a Sony A 330 10.2 mpx with an 18-55 lens, although it is a bit old it is very good camera and I have tried to get the most out of it.
