I guess that God has his plan for all of us. I am blessed that I am still here though at times I am facing fears and struggle alone or not, I know I mostly won the battle.

Many of you especially hivers from the Philippines remember the super typhoon YOLANDA or HAIYAN, I am one of the survivors. I owe my life to our Almighty Father and for still giving me the chance to see the beauty and live my life to the fullest.

Some people have known our place to be the target of typhoons since we are surrounded by water and facing the Pacific Ocean. Our town is also known for being abundant in seafood.

November 7, 2013, Thursday night. I remember how clear the sky it was and there is no sign of an upcoming typhoon. People are getting ready and already evacuated but some of them did not. November 8, 2013, around 2:00 AM I remember how the wind is getting strong and the electricity went in and out and around 4:40 AM the typhoon hit and landed our town which is Guiuan.

We did not expect how strong the typhoon was as we are hopeful that it will not landfall. I did not expect that the typhoon is the same way as the tropical storms or cyclones. According to the statistics, 87 people died, 931 were injured and 23 were missing, and sadly 1 of the people who died during the typhoon was a good friend of mine. I will forever miss him, though I know I'm sad I was not able to properly say goodbye to him. We will forever miss you, Ricky. 😔😔😔

Treasure your time with your loved ones and friends. People come and go but memories will last. Everyday is a test of survival and we are all survivors; take care hivers and stay safe!
