To me, lighthouses, signs of bygone times, are always a joy to see. This one is located in Souris. For some unknown reason, Hubby and I are sometimes drawn to take a leisurely car drive there on a Sunday.
The government of PEI have decommissioned the lighthouses and in most instances the community has taken over the lighthouse.
The Souris Lighthouse on a #beautifulsunday hosted by @ace108.
In this lighthouse there are many artifacts of life on the sea. Besides nautical articles there were containers of sea glass in every colour..
Sea glass is broken glass that has been smoothed for years by the motion of the waves and washed ashore on the beaches to be collected by people.
Sea glass hunting is a fun thing to do and I will often see people with a bag or small container searching the beaches for the glass. I have found some, mostly white and green. The red and blue sea glass is rare

One of the many artifacts in the Souris Lighthouse was this old kerosene lamp that was previously used on a ship.
A boat yard across where we stopped to have a snack at a canteen.
In closing, some roses I saw along the way.
