The Elephant and the Rope

This is a story by an unknown author about how important it is to never give up, no matter how many mistakes you've made in the past.

A man was on vacation in Africa. One day he saw how the elephants passed. To his great amazement he saw that these huge strong animals were held by only a small rope tied to their foremost leg. Of course, they could easily walk away anytime, but they did not.

Then he saw a supervisor and asked him how could no elephant try to break.

The supervisor explained: "If the elephants are still very young, we use the same rope to tie them, and at that time it is enough to keep them. Gradually they grow up, become stronger, but nevertheless they never try to To get away because they believe that the rope will keep them. "

The man was stunned. These strong animals could free themselves anytime, but they did not, because they believed this was impossible.

Sometimes we are like elephants, as we act after our first setback. How often are we like the elephants in the story? How often do we have mental ropes around our legs that are holding us back from trying?

Sometimes it stems from having been told we can’t do something or being told we aren’t capable of something. Other times it comes from stems from having tried once and failed at something and now we are convinced that we just can’t do it. All we see is that rope around our leg holding us in place.

Whatever you can conceive and believe, you can achieve!
