Johnny's funeral: his remains left Paris for Saint-Barth

After a very successful tribute day in Paris, the singer is to be buried on Monday in Saint-Barthélemy, the Caribbean island he loved so much.

After the grand popular tribute in Paris on Saturday, Johnny Hallyday's burial will be much more intimate on St. Bartholomew's Island on Monday. The private plane carrying its white coffin took off this Sunday morning just after 10 a. m. from Le Bourget for the West Indies.

The family and very close friends make the trip. On board the plane, a Boeing 757, sixty or so very close friends took their seats, including of course his wife Laeticia and their two daughters, Jade and Joy. David Hallyday and Laura Smet, the other two rocker's children are also present. His musicians, like Yarol Poupaud, his manager Sébastien Farrand, and his bodyguard too. Line Renaud, too tired to make the trip." I'm not going to be able to go, it's too far for me,"she told the Parisian. The flight should last a little over 8 hours. Before embarking, Laeticia Hallyday greeted the few fans who had made the trip to Le Bourget.

A very personal place. In metropolis, some fans are saddened by the rocker's choice to be buried so far away, and they regret not being able to get there. But on the spot, Johnny Hallyday's choice to be buried on the island where he had a villa since 2008 has touched a lot. The artist and his family were very much appreciated there, and confided in him to be able to walk around in complete tranquillity.
The artist should have a very simple grave, white like all those in the Lorient cemetery. A cemetery overlooking the sea.
