The Memorial Stone

There are always special things that we can learn through observation and asking questions from those that have gone ahead of us or even our parents.

Those that often observe things and eager to really know how things happened get better day by day. This is the case of Cynthia that love to be around her mother and always request for clarity whenever she find something strange and new.

That this may be a sign among you, that when your children ask their fathers in time to come, saying, What mean ye by these stones?
Then ye shall answer them, That the waters of Jordan were cut off before the ark of the covenant of the LORD; when it passed over Jordan, the waters of Jordan were cut off: and these stones shall be for a memorial unto the children of Israel for ever.
Joshua 4:6-7

"You were in Africa?" Cynthia asked her mom laughing.
Her mom replied, "Yes I was. I spent few months in Kenya while I was in college. I stayed with a missionary and his family. We visited people in the remote places, telling them about the messiah".

This souvenir you are holding is my little memorial, reminding me of how God watched over me then. Staring at the water bottle, Cynthia said, " wow, mom. I never knew you did anything so excited!"

Cynthia was able to know what her mom never discussed with her before due to her observation, asking questions and her willingness to know more.

Beloved, start asking your parents to share with you their various encounter with God and how they were able to handle some life situations and challenges. He wants you to ask them how they prevailed over different challenges of life they have faced.

You will hear great stories that will build up your faith in life. There will be memorial stone in your own too that will remind you of a time God helped you out of a certain difficulty.

There are always more to learn and more to be revealed to us if we are humble enough to observe things and ask questions.
