Not always Abu Nawas being silly. Sometimes there arises the depth of his heart which is proof of his salliness. When he is on teaching, he will give a weighty answer even if he keeps it light.
A student of Abu Nawas is often asked a variety of questions. Not infrequently he also commented on the sayings of Abu Nawas when discussing something. This happened when Abu Nawas received three guests who asked several questions to Abu Nawas.
"Which is more important, the one who works the big sins or the one who works the little sins?" said the first person.
"People who work on petty sins," answered Abu Nawas.
"Why so," said the first man chasing.
"For a small sin is easier to be forgiven by God," Abu Nawas said. The first person was nodding very satisfied with the answer of Abu Nawas.
Second-person turns forward. He turns out to be asking the same question, "Which is more important, the one who works the big sins or the person who works the little sins?" he asked.
"The main thing is people who do not do both," said Abu Nawas.
"Why is that?" asked the second man again.
"By not working on both, certainly God's forgiveness is no longer needed," said Abu Nawas relaxed. The second man nodded and accepted the answer of Abu Nawas in his heart.
The third person is advanced, the question is also one hundred percent the same. "Which is the main one, the one who works the big sins or the one who works the little sins?" he asked.
"People who work on big sins are more important," Abu Nawas said.
"How did it happen?" asked the third man again.
"For the forgiveness of God to his servants is proportional to the severity of his servant's sin," Abu Nawas said calmly. The third person was satisfied with the argument. The three men and then went away.

The student who likes to ask him or her asks to hear the incident. "Why the same question can produce three different answers," he said not understanding.
Abu Nawas smiled. "Humans are divided into three levels, the level of the eye, the level of the brain and the level of the heart," said Abu Nawas.
"What is the level of the eye?" the student asked.
"A little boy who sees a star in the sky, he will call the star is small because that's what appears in his eyes," replied Abu Nawas giving a metaphor.
"What is the level of the brain?" the student asked again.
"A clever man who sees a star in the sky, he will say that the star is great because he has knowledge," answered Abu Nawas.
"And what is the level of the heart?" Ask the student again.
"Clever man who understands the star in the sky, he will still say that the star is small even though he knows the real star is great, because for him there is nothing in this world that is bigger than Allah SWT," replied Abu Nawas with a smile.
The disciple understands. He then understands why one question can bring different answers. But the student asked again.
"O my master, can man deceive God?" he asked.
"Maybe," Abu Nawas replied casually accepted the strange question.
"How to?" asked the student again.
"Man can deceive God by seducing Him through praise and prayer," Abu Nawas said.
"Then teach me that prayer, my teacher," the student enthusiastically said.
"The prayer is," I am the lastu lil faizah ahla, Wala Aqwa alannaril Jahimi, fahabli taubatan waghfir dzunubi, fa innaka ghafiruz dzambil adzimi. "(O my Lord, I do not deserve to be a dweller of heaven, but I can not resist the heat of hell. I accept my repentance and forgive all my sins, indeed you are the One who forgives the great sins).
Many people practice this prayer that seduces God.
