On 4 May 2018, I and Team explored the flora in the peat sagoe protected forest, aceh, Indonesia. This exploration takes 6 days of journeys inside the deep, deeply natural forest like a hidden paradise.
Located in the Geumpang area, Pidie district, Peut Sagoe mountain is one of the active volcanoes in the province of Aceh, in addition to Mount Seulawah Agam in Aceh Besar district, Geureudong mountain in Bener Meriah district, etc.
Geumpang is a subdistrict that is included in the administrative area of Pidie Regency. Distance Geumpang with the capital of Aceh Province (Banda Aceh) about 220 km and can be reached by road ± 6 hours. Peut Sagoe mountain condition rampant preached when an earthquake measuring 6.0 on the Richter Scale (SR) shook Aceh.
Based on the Indonesian volcano base data, the Directorate of Volcanology, K. Kusumadinata 1979 establishes Peut Sagoe mountain in Pidie District, is the active volcano of Strato type, which is part of Ring of Fire (ring of fire) Indonesia. Mount Peut Sagoe is included in Ulu Masen ecosystem area, covering 6 (six) regencies, Bireuen, Pidie Jaya, Pidie, Aceh Besar, Aceh Jaya and Aceh Barat. The area of Ulu Masen is about 750,000 ha, with Peut Sagoe as the highest peak (2,780 m).
Tropical mountain forests including mountain forests of Aceh province or Sumatran island have a wealth of plant communities larger than in other parts of the world (Whitten et al. 1997).
Roos et al. (2004), Sumatra island has the third largest number of endemic species from five major islands in Indonesia from selected taxa. World Wildlife Fund for Nature (WWF) as one of the world's conservation organizations incorporates Sumatra's tropical rainforest as one of the most diverse ecoregion regions in the world
The method used is an explorative method of obtaining plant species from their natural habitat with endemic, unique, endangered and potentially endemic.
Life collections can be in the form of seeds, cuttings, seedlings and plants. For a collection of unknown species, a collection of herbariums is also stored at Herbarium CHTJ (Cianjur Hortus Tjibodasensis). For the completeness of field data each sample in the field recorded agroecological data and shooting.
The duration of the implementation of the location of peut sagoe for 6 days and the team consisting of 6 people at the same time, ie on May 4 to 10 May 2018. Location explored in Mount Peut sagoe, Pidie district, Aceh province, located at an altitude of 1538 -2.400mdpl, in the hope of obtaining the plants that are the exploration target.

The results obtained from the exploration and research of flora at the location of Mount Peut sagoe, Aceh province, are recipients of live specimens. At the location of Mount peut sagoe is dominated by trees and shrubs and vines, epiphytes and also there are several specimens of herbs of Merapi Mountain habitat are: edelweiss, Nepenthes spectabilis Danser, Nepenthes gracilis Korth, and others
