Crust, mantle and core

This is what the Earth might look like inside. At the centre Is the core, surrounded by the mantle. The crust is a thin outer layer.
• The Earth's core in about 7000 km across and is probably made of iron and nickel. The outer part is liquid and the inner part solid.

• The mantle is made of rock. It contains most of the Earth's material.
• The crust is made of lighter rocks that floated to the top when Earth was molten it varies from 6 to 40 km thick.
