It was another blustery day here in the Pacific Northwest. Despite the inclement weather, there was much to see and do. Particularly with today being... PIRATE SUNDAY.

First things first, we left the house and set out for “town”. The city center of my little community is about a five minute drive down hill from the house. Views going into town are always nicest on sunny days. However, the fall colors added a bit of zip to today’s gray views.

When the weather is gloomy comfort food is a definite pick me up. So this morning’s destination was a popular local eatery. Here we enjoyed a classic hot breakfast they warmed us up from the inside out.

After brunch it was time for a walk down Main Street. We counted on our full bellies to keep us warm. Maybe not the best idea with all the rain.

Now I mentioned earlier that today is Pirate Sunday. There are two things you need for a true Pirate Sunday. The first of course is pirates. 🏴‍☠️ My town delivers on pirate.

Let me show you some photos from a local spot called Treasures and Teas. It is a shop that specializes in tea, nautical themed gifts and pirate paraphernalia. Who knew pirates were big tea drinkers. 🤔 🤣😂

The second thing you need for a proper Pirate Sunday - booty. This Sunday I didn’t even have to plunder for my booty. It got delivered right to the front door!

^{The State Fair}

The State Fair bar is 1oz of .999 pure silver. It was minted in 1975 for the Hamilton Mint’s 50 bar America the Beautiful series. This particular bar is #6607/10,000.

The inscription on the bar’s reverse reads:

To Americans, young and old, the rural, homespun flavor of the state fair revived a torrent of pleasant memories.

Look at this little beauty!!! It was hand poured by steem silver gold’s very own @vgholdingsllc! The diameter is slightly smaller than a quarter and it is .999 pure. The absolute BEST part - it has an AWESOME little VG head stamped into the back! SO COOL!
