Hey there Steemit world! So I was at lunch checking my phone, you know, up on Steemit and all:) Going thru some articles, and upvoting some fantastic ones! There Is A LOT of wonderfully talented people on this site!!! Writers, artist, musicians, cooks, coders, comedians...couponers:) etc...You name it, They are on here. Well, I briefly checked my wallet, and looked at my Steem Power. (or SP...It's not much, but I'm just having fun being on the site:) I noticed that I was going up as usual, nothing out of the ordinary. But, then It hit me: "I don't think that there Is a "Cap" on the SP!!! It's INFINITE!!! I said wait...this can't be right." There, of course, had to be a limit on the amount of SP you could aquire. It just sounded too good to be true! (unless you power down of course:)
So I checked the white paper to see if any such cap existed. NOPE. I mean, It starts off saying that Its a "long term" commitment, but Infinity Is a heck of a long time! lol Of course our account values are based off of market forces. (And that can fluctuate over time) Hence, If we are talking "long term", and adoption puts us on the level of say a "Facebook", we are talking some SERIOUS gains. (for early adopters meaning us:) It's wonderful that we can post, comment, and upvote. But SP Is a serious game changer In the social media crypto space! Every second of the day, whether you are sleeping or not, your SP grows! And here's the kicker: Just for holding SP:) Not even Bitcoin does that! But, you have the ability to earn more by being active In the community. And also, think about your account In 5, 10, 20, even 50 years from now! Hopefully Steemit will be around that long. And the Steemit Whales now, will probably be MULTI-BILLIONAIRES by then! (I should be "Whale Status" by then...maybe you too:) Incredible when you think about It never dying.
I'm just thinking longterm: "So should you just make up a will and post it on the Steemit Blockchain...Then sign the account over to your kids?" That would be something very special for them to Inherit! Or, maybe make up a Family Generation Account." (kind of like a social media blockchain family tree:) Passing your account down thru all your Generations. All your post, comments, and upvotes for the whole family to see. From Grandparents, to Grandchildren. All while history Is changing In front of your own eyes. If you think about that in and of itself, you would be leaving unchangable, unforgeable, piece of Immuttable history on the Blockchain. It will literally last longer than we will be alive! And that's powerful folks...Please don't overlook that Important fact.
