Well definitely not a bad way to end the last season of this year 2019 by having to reach the Diamond leagues today. This by the way is only the SECOND TIME ever THIS YEAR that I reached this high of a league. Sadly true! XD
Truth be told, I almost gave up on the idea that I will reach the Diamond leagues today. Although I only initially needed 49 Battle Points to reach the Diamond leagues (around 2-3 straight wins) I was unfortunately greeted by a series of strong opponents when trying to complete today's daily quest. Opponents whose summoners where at level 6+ and whose monsters where at at level 8-10. There's just no way I could defeat that!!! (not that I am anymore surprised but this is honestly really infuriating XD) !
Anyway, despite suffering a lot of loses this early in the morning I was still able to complete today's daily quest with a lot of ECR's to spare. Since I was thrown back to the 2600's (Battle Rating) I didn't anymore expect to reach Diamonds (2800 BR) so I just claimed the quest reward on Gold I.
Never did I expect to get 2 surrenders from opponents with a slightly higher battle rating than I have though and be pitted in a row against opponents around my level. And so I was luckily able to reach the Diamonds due to that.
Funny thing though is that right after reaching the Diamond leagues, I was immediately matche up against opponents with 3000+ Battle Rating and with level 10+ monsters to boot! Lol
The worst thing though is that the 'minus' in my Battle Rating against this kind of opponents is only 3-5 which means that there is still a high chance of being matched up against opponents near 3000+ Battle Rating since this is the average BR of Diamond III players. T_T
