Steemit web traffic on the way up again

I'm still monitoring how the site stats are doing. It's encouraging that you can now actually see the graph starting to climb again. I check the stats on Hypestat as they show you more without registering than on Alexa. The worldwide rank has improved over the last few weeks, but is a long way off its best in March when it was in the top 1000. Something happened recently so the daily visitors is several times the previous value, but it didn't affect the rank. I have checked other Steem-related sites previously and none managed more than a tenth of the visitors of the main site. They still add up to a lot of extra Steem users, but there is bound be an overlap with Steemit itself.

Stats

When we look at the countries the top ranks are not changing too much. The US is slowly losing the share of users, but its rank is climbing. Korea is still doing really well and there seems to be a whole community there who English speakers may not see much of. It's almost in the top 1000 in India and that is a massive potential audience. Japan is up there, but the site has a pretty low rank. The UK used to have Steemit as a top 1000 site, but it's slipped a lot. Most counties seem to be improving.

Countries

I posted about Ireland having a much better rank than the UK, but it's dropped off the list now, so I can't see how it's doing now. It was pointed out that Alexa may have less data on smaller countries, so their stats may not be so accurate.

I know people get despondent when the Steem price is low, but it's a chicken/egg situation as less active users won't help the price improve. It is still mainly at the whims of the general market, but if we can get the right people on board then Steem and Steemit will gain mindshare. We know the platform works and Steem has advantages over other coins. We have a growing group of people with thousands of dollars worth of Steem. Many are not selling it.

I was looking back to the beginning of the year when my Steem was worth over four times as much. I didn't power down then and the price would have dropped before I could sell it all anyway. I'm keeping faith with Steem and 'hodling' as they say.

This Story on Hacked doesn't help matters. They say Steem has dropped, but so have most other coins.

Do you still have confidence in this platform?
