People there have fallen victim to a corrupt government that has devastated their currency. Many Venezuelan have flocked to Steemit as an alternate to their broken currency system. We can’t think of the people in economically distressed areas as just a charity case. In fact, they are leading the way to cryptocurrency adoption. They are trailblazers and pioneers for the future of cryptocurrencies. Their economic situation encourages them to adopt cryptocurrency not just for storage, but for real use. Just look at what villages in Africa are doing. Even the tiniest villages have markets that utilize STEEM to buy and trade for goods. I can’t find a single person or store where I live to take STEEM, but entire communities in economically distressed areas are actually using it. Cryptocurrency itself can be a lifesaving means to those in need. What better way to provide world aid than to airdrop right here on Steemit?
