Yep, I haven't heard about any other existing social media platform that would be built on top of the blockchain so far. It's a game-changer. We basically have an open-source database with incorporated micropayments. I'm not questioning Steem technology, but rather community building which highly depends on the distribution of rewards and building user-friendly product for new members.

I'm questioning curators who reward a few posts with ridiculous amounts (10k for an app concept that I could design in a few hours on Sketch. 15k for two paragraphs narcissistic introduction. Seriously?) instead of spreading their upvotes more widely and encouraging new users to stay, create more and invite their friends. What is better in a long term: one guy who hit 10k jackpot and spread false expectations how to become a fucking Steem millionaire or thousands of loyal, creating users.
