The importance of FAQ and AskSteemit and general usability

With the influx of new users there isn't much usable info on how to use the site. This is coming from a person who is now writing his second post. Right now the layout of this site just forces one to explore kind of aimlessly until one gets the general idea of how to navigate through the relative mess.

There can be a lot of improvements made to the site to improve the general usability of it from the organization to the post formatting. How a user navigates this site and how they use it isn't really defined. What is it I can or cannot post? Can I post anything and everything?

I understand this freedom leaves room for a lot of expression, but this leaves a lot of room for abuse. Plagiarism and spam are already being encountered. Imagine when the other dark parts of the internet that have no moral guidelines come creeping in this site. Are there safeguards in place? By incentivizing content creation that is popular than people will deploy all sorts of tactics to create such content. I believe a moral code of conduct (or a least a list of do's and do not's) and a way to enforce it is essential. *Is there one already?How can some one find it? *

These are basic questions that not only devs but general users will have. Making a great first impression on this site will set a precedent to future use cases the Steem community will experience in the future.

There are some basic questions I think new users will have or at should least be given the answer to. I think as steemit/steem becomes more usuable, it becomes more popular and valuable as a network/concept. It will become more usable when there exists a place new users can find condensed information on what, how, and why this site works and will continue to work. It will give new users a guide and make it more comforting/appealing to join the network. This is the biggest reason than meta threads/info on how this site works and how to use it is so important.

This is my second post (3ish hours on site) and i'm just voicing my opinions so far. I have read some of the white paper and some posts on steemit. If there was a FAQ that was more oriented to new users I know I would have greatly appreciated it.
