Wow Steemit! Just wow! An introduction that demands a sequel!

(Original Post: https://steemit.com/introduceyourself/@guerrint/hello-it-s-tara-i-m-bringing-girlpower-to-steem)

As much as I want to run with my content ASAP, I just have to make a follow up on my introduceyourself post due to its success. It really caught me by surprise.

I want to thank everyone who up-voted me and my ambition to grow our user base. I especially want to thank some of the prominent Steemers who recognized my clever idea to grow the Steemit community, not just a girl with a good pic saying hello.

I’m not going to let you down, I promise. The success of my first post immediately changed my whole weekend and it sent me into planning mode. I want all of you to know that I'm going to reinvest much of the proceeds of my success back into Steemit!

It's exciting to see my goal of growing a larger female user base come to fruition even before I launch my strategy! I have been browsing over Steem posts the last couple weeks, especially the introduceyourself category. It seems like my introduction inspired a lot of women to drop any hesitation and immediately give Steemit a try. It looks like the average number of girls who sign up on a daily basis and post an intro went up sharply after seeing how well mine did.

Much love to that great post! So rewarding being able to create content that helps us all build steam and Steem!

I wasn’t discouraged when I started seeing people dislike and even down-vote my intro post due to it’s success. The jest of their complaints generally were something like “you are getting all those votes just because you are a hot girl." I wouldn’t disagree that being a decent looking girl may help but I strongly feel they missed the real reason why the post gained so much Steem! It identified a lacking user base on this site, the boatloads of non-tech oriented girls, and my plan to attract them into the Steemit world. There is a stream of girls in the crypto-world steadily finding Steemit because of their interest in blockchain. But there is a river, an ocean, of women that could find Steemit quicker by us opening new pathways via female hobbies/interests posts.

While Steemit is in it’s early stages, I think Steemers will be more likely to upvote a fellow Steemer’s post that shows an effort or determination to help the community grow. Once someone joins Steemit and goes to work, whether they have 50 SP or 50,000 SP, they want to see the whole endeavor succeed! Look how well this post below has done. Is this clever young man a hot girl with big boobs? No, but it’s his effort to bring in more users that’s the difference. https://steemit.com/steemit/@clains/steemit-workshop-and-presentation

No matter what content a person adds to Steemit, whether it seems appealing to you or not, it will help everyone build Steem in the end. I want to point out something I think is critical for everyone to understand, especially when Steem power goes to a post they don’t care for. It’s that the Steem is only going to come right back around! The fact is their Steem will eventually be redistributed through the mechanics of the voting system and in the end it will find it’s way to the best content!
@trevonjb pointed this out in a clever and entertaining way…
"What I believe the landscape of steemit will evolve into in the coming months is a place where the hotties above will become the new whales because of all the steem power they will be getting from the whales of today. Then, it will then be OUR time. To post our selfies and introduce ourselves to steemit. And be showered with upvotes from these beautiful beasts of today! So fear not! Our time will come gentlemen. Until then. Continue to feed these beast. For one day, these beast will in turn become the feeders"

Lastly, as I see our user base grow, I want to point out some helpful posts, and their comments, by great Steemers that have helped me understand how it all works above and below the surface...
